Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 Expands the Grimdark FPS Experience

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is preparing to unleash another wave of brutal, old-school first-person shooter action, building upon the success of its 2023 predecessor. Developed by Auroch Digital, the sequel retains the pixelated visuals, relentless gunplay, and grimdark atmosphere that made the original a standout among retro FPS enthusiasts.

Meanwhile, newcomer Nyra Veyrath, a Sister of Battle, offers a more agile fighting style emphasizing flamers, melta weapons, and close-quarters combat.

Beyond these characters, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 introduces a branching campaign featuring over 30 levels across diverse environments, from sprawling hive cities to hostile jungle swamps. Players will also encounter Imperial allies, including the Death Korps of Krieg, during certain missions.

The forces of Chaos return stronger than ever, with enemies representing all four major Chaos Gods. Players must confront terrifying daemons, heavily armored opponents, and increasingly challenging encounters as they advance through the campaign. At the center of the conflict stands Vashtorr the Arkifane, whose sinister ambitions threaten the Imperium. Adding to the excitement, renowned composer Mick Gordon contributes music to the final boss encounter, promising an intense conclusion to the adventure.
