Vampyr is by far the biggest and most ambitious game that Dontnod has produced. It is a big-scale action adventure RPG and it’s far different from the usual games that gave them momentum in the gaming industry. Vampyr was launched last year. It’s about a doctor who becomes a vampire and struggles to control his thirst for blood. This game is the first collaboration between Focus Home Interactive and Dontnod. It is safe to assume that both parties are liking the relationship as they are brewing yet another game. In their press release, they said that their upcoming game is one of their most ambitious work as publishers and developers. Focus Home COO John Bert said,

“We are delighted to continue the adventure with the team at Dontnod who have already amply demonstrated their talents to create rich universes, enhanced by a masterful narrative and unique artistic direction. We are proud to once again allow the talent of the studio to express itself on this new project which is intended to be among the most ambitious in the history of Focus and Dontnod.”

Dontnod CEO Oskar Guilbert seconded Bert’s statement and said that Focus Home is an "ideal partner" for their new game due to their experience in marketing, digital distribution, and other important factors that are helpful to make a game a huge success.

As for the new game, both Focus Home and Dontnod are tight-lipped about it and thus there is no news about it yet. It could be a sequel to Vampyr or it could be an entirely unrelated new game. We will have to wait for a bit longer until they reveal more, but we can spend that time playing Vampyr.

Vampyr is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s free on Xbox One, but only for the Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
