Ubisoft Forward announced for June

Ubisoft has announced it will host another edition of Ubisoft Forward, presenting some of the titles the publisher has been working on to players. The event will air on June 10 via live stream directly from Los Angeles, California. Thus, for the second consecutive year, Ubisoft Forward will take place in the same week as the Summer Game Fest, which kicks off on June 7.

As announced by the French publisher on Twitter, fans can look forward to a wealth of updates and exclusive information on upcoming releases at the showcase. No further details have been disclosed.

However, that didn't prevent speculation from running wild. Ubisoft's latest renowned releases were Skull and BonesPrince of Persia: The Lost Crown, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. The publisher has already announced that Star Wars Outlaws will still arrive in 2024, so a release date can be expected during Ubisoft Forward. Furthermore, the latest installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise was Assassin's Creed Mirage back in October, and if there's one thing we know about the franchise, it's that it doesn't stay without a new title for long.

Ubisoft's fiscal report revealed that Assassin's Creed Codename Red is slated for release by March 2025. In other words, the Assassin's Creed set in Japan could arrive still in 2024 or early next year. Additionally, numerous rumors are swirling around the internet about a new Prince of Persia. It's called The Rogue Prince of Persia, a roguelite allegedly in development at Evil Empire, the studio behind Dead Cells.

A roguelite Prince of Persia may be under development

The news comes from journalist Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming. He said the title would debut in early access on Steam, making it the first Ubisoft game to launch day one on the Valve platform since 2019. The reporter didn't confirm the existence of console ports or the full version release date.

Henderson said he obtained the information from sources familiar with the matter. According to them, the roguelite would receive constant free updates and evolve based on community feedback. Additionally, the game has been in production for four years and only happened thanks to a meeting between Evil Empire and Ubisoft at GDC 2019, shortly after the developer's founding. Still, as a rumor, take everything with a grain of salt.

June will be a month packed with game news again, and if you're a Ubisoft fan, it's worth paying attention to.
