The Last of Us Part II Remastered will launch next January

There's been quite a bit of uncertainty about the release of The Last of Us Part II Remastered. Developer Naughty Dog and Sony never confirmed officially the existence of the game eve even though the leak of a PlayStation Store listing pointed directly at a January release. The fans of the popular series were left wondering about the authenticity of that leak for apparently no reason, as proved in a publication on Naughty Dog's official forums a couple of days ago.

A big reveal with a video

The blog post reveals that The Last of Us Part II Remastered is a reality and that the fans will be able to enjoy it very soon. Of course, it will be a natural follow-up for all those who own The Last of Us Part I Remake as it will allow them to continue the story starring Ellie in a game that features "technological improvements, new modes, and new behind-the-scenes features that will deepen your understanding of Part II’s creation." One of the most interesting additions that players will get to experience in The Last of Us Part II Remastered is No Return mode, a roguelike survival mode that lets you choose from a variety of characters to immerse in an experience that pits you against randomized encounters. The Last of Us Part II Remastered will also feature a Guitar Free Play mode for those who enjoy playing the instrument, and additional content commented by the developers for those interested in learning more about the series.

Naughty Dog has also confirmed the release date for The Last of Us Part II Remastered which will finally be available on January 19, 2024, for the PlayStation 5 console exclusively.
