Star Wars Outlaws gameplaly trailer left very good vibes
Star Wars Outlaws is going to be the first big title released after EA's exclusivity deal for the rights of the franchise ended. Therefore, it's the first opportunity to see a different approach to Star Wars. Ubisoft has decided to leave the Jedi aside for its first game, and it's focusing on the lowest of the lowest. Scoundrels, smugglers, and the shadiest people of the galaxy will be at the center of Star Wars Outlaws, an adventure that seems to veer away from the endless conflict between good and evil to focus a bit more on mundane things like how to survive and prosper as an outlaw when half of the galaxy wants your head on a pike. Until now, we only had a small glimpse of Star Wars Outlaws but a new gameplay trailer was released yesterday and it offered 10 minutes of action and a better look at the game.
Meet Kay Vess
The protagonist of Star Wars Outlaws is Kay Vess, a scoundrel who is about to attempt the biggest heist the galaxy has ever known. The video follows her endeavours as she progresses through an open world representing the planes in the Outer Rim. Building her reputation up, completing dangerous missions, and fighting against all kinds of enemies while progressing in the game are just parts of a bigger story-driven adventure that is nothing like previous Star Wars games. The gameplay looks dynamic enough, combat is on point, and the abilities Vess uses to defeat her enemies are varied, offering you plenty of tactical possibilities. However, the best thing about the game is that it's Star Wars.
Star Wars Outlaws will deliver an experience that is good enough to keep an eye on the game. Good graphics and combat mechanics, stealth, exploration, secrets, and a thrilling storyline are at the core of the upcoming adventure. However, the game may be a bit too generic. Kay Vess still has to make a name for herself and gain a spot in the heart of the huge community that loves Star Wars, and that's not easy, especially if you are not wielding a lightsaber. This could be the biggest drawback for a game that still has to prove itself worthy. However, Ubisoft seems to be working in the right direction, and we can only hope for the final product to be what the fans deserve.
The release of Star Wars Outlaws is scheduled for August 30 on PC, Xbox series and PlayStation. As usual, the best prices to pre-order Star Wars Outlaws are already available with our comparator. If you are looking for other adventures set in the same universe, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are worth taking a look at.
