Star Citizen is free for a whole week
Star Citizen is a project for patient people
Announced in 2012, Star Citizen is since 2014 playable in its alpha version. The game is still in development and works through crowdfunding. Star Citizen is developed by Cloud Imperium Games Studio, founded by Chris Roberts, the creator of the Wing Commander series.
Star Citizen is a unique game as it offers a lot of things to do. In an open and persistent world, you are free to explore the universe as you see fit. The game takes place in the 30th century within the Milky Way, which is governed by the UEE (United Empire of Earth), of which you are part. You can create your own character and live the life you want according to your craft and your specialization. Space pirate, merchant, smuggler, or explorer, it's up to you to decide your fate. Of course, to move through the stars, you will need a ship. There are different types depending on your trade, such as cargo ships to transport goods, or cruisers, to take part in epic space battles. And because the universe is big, you will also come across a certain number of alien races during your travels. Whatever you decide to do in Star Citizen, take the time to weigh the pros and cons, because the universe remembers. Indeed, in Star Citizen, if you die, it will have consequences. You may, for example, for example, lose an arm during a battle, which will be replaced by a robotic prosthesis. And if you die too often, there's a definite death waiting for you. You will, however, have the opportunity to choose a successor, but this will not be without consequences.
If all this has made your mouth water and you are not afraid of challenges, know that Star Citizen is playable for free for a whole week. From now until May 8, you can try the game without paying a dime. This event called Free Fly, allows you to try five different ships, but also the experience the latest 3.5 update. This update includes new features, such as being able to create a female character, a new flight model, or the brand new planet ArcCorp. To enjoy this free trial, just go to the official game site at this link, and create an account. Then enter the following Free Fly code: GETINTOTHEVERSE, all you have to do is download the game and enjoy Star Citizen.
