Patch 1.01 for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Is Live

The 1.01 patch brings fixes and adjustments across all aspects of the game. Below are some of the most notable updates that directly impact performance and gameplay experience:

  • Fixed performance drops and potential out-of-memory crashes in hubs and crowded NPC areas during extended play sessions.
  • Addressed NPC animation issues, including instances where they would default to an A-pose or appear to "fly" after death.
  • Resolved flickering textures in several locations, such as the Sphere, Military Base, and Chemical Plant.
  • Fixed movement issues, including players getting stuck in certain areas during missions like Once More Unto the Breach and A Tough Awakening.
  • Reduced repair costs for weapons and equipment.
  • Adjusted the selling price of upgraded gear.
  • Decreased the weight of certain items.
  • Lowered the health of some enemies.

Patch 1.01 introduces several tweaks aimed at making gameplay more accessible. For instance, reducing weapon repair costs makes managing gear less of a grind. Additionally, various enemies now have reduced health points and take increased damage to specific body parts. The company also adjusted the melee weapon hitbox range, making it easier to take down monsters.
