Riot launches Ruined King: A League of Legends Story

About two years ago, Riot Games announced its plans for expanding the League of Legends universe across other genres with more video games based on the lore of the popular MOBA. Not too long after that, Legends of Runeterra burst into the collectible card games scenario. Now it's a solid contender with a spot at the top with other games like Hearthstone and Magic The Gathering. Valorant went through the same process, and now it's quite a popular 5v5 competitive tactical shooter. We are waiting to know more about an upcoming MMORPG based on League of Legends that is currently in development, but those are not the only projects in Riot's plans. Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is another example, and it's already available.

If you are a fan of all things Riot, you probably know that Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is a turn-based role-playing game. It follows the adventures of several League of Legends champions who embarked on an epic quest to fight against the Ruination. The game presumably reveals more about the story of the Shadow Isles and Viego, also known as the Ruined King. You can play it on Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.

What else does Riot have under the sleeve?

Riot has very ambitious expansion plans that include even more games for us.

Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story is a rhythm game in the form of a 2D side-scrolling platformer that puts you in the shoes of a yordle named Ziggs, who tries to escape from Heimerdinger while traversing scenarios full of explosions, enemies, and traps to the beat of the music. It's already available on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

Riot has also announced two other games that will arrive next year. On the one hand, Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story is a "heartwarming single-player adventure" that follows Nunu and his furry friend Willump in an epic adventure where they will try to find Nunu's lost mom.

On the other hand, Conv/rgence: A League of Legends Story is a single-player platformer in 2D full of action that follows Ekko across Piltover and Zaun.

Those announcements confirm that Riot Games is set on making the League of Legends universe the most popular in video games across all genres.
