Returnal allows you to save your game now
The roguelike gameplay style of Returnal has frustrated some players for a while now. The game features an amazingly designed alien world that challenges you with a frenetic survival experience as you try to escape from the time loop that affects the planet. The protagonist, Selene, has to face ever-changing conditions and fight against all types of deadly aliens while she looks for a way of escaping, but every time she dies, she has to start all over again. Many players love this kind of roguelike experience, and Returnal has become a favorite of the fans of the genre since it was released for PlayStation 5, but the game mechanics pose a little big problem: you can't save your progress. If you were to leave the game or turn off the console for some reason, you would need to start a new game once you are back.
Fortunately, developer Housemarque has been working on a saving feature that has been finally added to Returnal. It's not exactly the usual type of save game option that you can find in other games. If you are to leave in the midst of a Returnal game, a single-use suspend point will be created, and you will be able to continue playing from where you left off the next time you return to the game. That exact suspend point won't be useable anymore, and you will create a new one if you decide to stop playing for a while again. This type of saved game does not mess up the whole roguelike spirit of Returnal, but it's very convenient for those that can't enjoy long gaming sessions.
Housemarque has added another new feature to Returnal in the latest update of the game. You can now capture the game's beautiful graphics from any point of view by switching to Photo Mode. You will also be able to modify your pictures with several lighting options, effects, and filters.
These two novelties will contribute to making Returnal even more appealing for the fans of roguelike games looking for an exciting first-person shooter experience. If you have not tried it yet, you can compare game prices and buy Returnal cheap with our comparator anytime.
