PUBG emphasizes vehicular combat with new features
Playerunknown's Battlegrounds is one of the pioneers in the battle royale genre and it still has quite a few players that enjoy its gameplay despite the increasing number of other titles that have appeared in the last few years. Some of the latest updates that the game has received have focused on vehicles, and it seems that this trend continues with the new one which is already available on PC. PUBG's latest patch added a new type of motorcycle to the game, the dirt bikes. These new vehicles will be the perfect choice for off-road traveling and they sacrifice the space for an extra passenger for enhanced maneuverability. They can spawn on any map but Karakin, and it's available in normal and custom games as well as on practice mode. With a maximum speed of 130 km/h, they are some of the fastest vehicles in the game.
But the arrival of this new vehicle will be accompanied by a feature that has been highly demanded by Playerunknown's Battlegrounds players for a while: the possibility of shooting while driving. You don't need to be the passenger anymore to shoot at your enemies while moving at top speed on a vehicle. Now it's possible to draw, reload and fire sidearms while driving on all vehicles except boats and BRDM. Of course, the camera placement has been adjusted for that and your maneuverability will be reduced while you are reloading, but the change opens up quite a lot of new interactions in the game as you won't necessarily need the help of a friend to chase and shoot down an enemy on a vehicle.
The update also includes a series of weapon balance adjustments that mainly focus on the damage and accuracy of the sidearms available in Playerunknown's Battlegrounds. A series of changes have been made to matchmaking in all regions to improve the experience for all players. You can check the complete patch notes at the following address if you want to know all the details. Patch 9.2 will be available on consoles on November 26.
