Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will launch in October

Although it was probably meant to be revealed at the upcoming Nintendo Direct, which will take place this evening, the release date of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope has been leaked ahead of the event. The internet has proven to be merciless and lightning-fast when it comes to transmitting information, and as soon as a user spotted the release date on Ubisoft digital store, the news was spread worldwide via Twitter for everyone to know. As usual, the listing was removed a bit later, but it was too late to deny the evidence.

In any case, we will probably be witness to the confirmation this evening during the Nintendo Direct. After all, it's great news for all the fans of the franchise. Whether you love Rabbids or are an unconditional fan of Mario, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will give you a taste of both worlds. Although the gameplay is significantly different from what players can usually experience in classic Mario or Rabbids titles, the game follows the steps of its prequel, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. It delivers an exciting turn-based experience focused on the epic journey of Mario and his friends through the space to save the Sparks. These creatures resulting from fusing Lumas and Rabbids are being hunted by an evil presence called Cursa, causing a lot of distress across the galaxy.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will feature new characters and a lot of surprises, and it aims to bring the two franchises together again. If the release date is confirmed this evening, the game will release on October 20 this year.
