Farming Simulator 25 Unveils New Banana Cultivation System
Farming Simulator 25 has revealed more details about Beans & Alpacas, the upcoming DLC for the game. This time, GIANTS Software is focusing on bananas, a crop that comes with its own dedicated cultivation system rather than simply being added to the existing farming mechanics. Players will be able to design their own banana plantations, use a rail system to transport the harvest, treat diseased plants, and send bananas through several different production chains. Alongside this, Beans & Alpacas will take players to the Catuaí region in South America when it launches on October 27, 2026, for PC and consoles.
Bananas Bring a Completely New Cultivation System
In Beans & Alpacas, players can build banana plantations to suit their own preferences. Individual rows can be placed manually, or players can simply define the boundaries of an area and let the system automatically generate a complete layout. The game will calculate the row direction, number of rails, area, and cost, making it easier to plan larger plantations. Once the cultivation setup is complete, the rail system becomes an important part of the harvesting process. Players can manually cut bananas with a machete, hang them on the rails, and move them through washing stations before they are packed into pallets. If they would rather focus on other work around the farm, hired workers can also handle the harvesting process.
Plant care is also part of the new production loop. Diseased banana plants need to be treated with fungicide using a tractor and specialized sprayer. In Catuaí, bananas can be grown and harvested year-round, while the plants are cut back after harvesting instead of being completely removed. They can then regrow and begin another production cycle in the same area. When it comes to bananas, the process does not stop at harvesting and selling them directly. Players can send them to production facilities to create a variety of new products, including banana milk, chips, jam, and cake. Boxes of bananas can be delivered to a drying station, dairy, canning factory, or bakery, providing more ways to generate profit from a plantation.
Beyond bananas, Beans & Alpacas will also take players to Catuaí, a new agricultural region in South America where they can develop coffee plantations and expand their operations with new crops, animals, production chains, and machinery. Alpacas are also one of the expansion's notable additions, alongside a range of new equipment.
Beans & Alpacas is scheduled to launch on October 27, 2026, for PC and consoles. It is a DLC for Farming Simulator 25 and is also part of the Year 2 Season Pass.
