Elden Ring could be closer than we think

Elden Ring is one of the most anticipated games announced in recent years but it's also one of the most secretive. We don´t know almost anything about the game but the few things that have been made public about it have been enough to put it in the spotlight and plenty of players are waiting to know more about it. Elden Ring is currently under development by From Software, the studio that created the Dark Souls series.

The huge popularity of Dark Souls would have been enough to attract the attention of players from all over the world, but there are a couple of important factors that have also helped to make Elden Ring so noteworthy. The game is born from the collaboration of Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. R. Martin. On one hand, Miyazaki is a Japanese video game designer and the president of From Software. He can count games like Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice among his latest works. On the other hand, George R. R. Martin is one of the most popular novelists in the world and the writer of A Song of Ice and Fire, the novel series that inspired Game of Thrones. With these creative minds behind Elden Ring, the game was bound to become very popular right after it was announced, but the only official video that has been revealed so far has also contributed to raising the expectation around the release of the game.

We were hoping to watch a new Elden Ring video during The Game Awards 2020 but it didn't happen and now there are rumors saying that the development of the game would be almost finished. Elden Ring would be on a polishing stage and that could mean that we would be getting some news about it very soon. We don't know if Bandai Namco will be announcing a release date but a gameplay video revealing some Elden Ring features would be more than welcome by the huge amount of players wanting to know more about the game.
