Dynasty Warriors 9 Shows Its Open-World

Dynasty Warriors has always been a franchise that was known for offering lots of enemies to fight, but there was never a game in the series that had an open-world. That's about to change with Dynasty Warriors 9 that really wants you to be a traveling one-man army that goes around a vast open world and beats anything into a pulp. We don't know just how well this will fit a game like Dynasty Warriors 9, but judging from the latest video, we still have the thrilling action and intense combat, so we should be fine. Mountains, valleys, deserts, forests, looks like we will be getting all sorts of different environments to kill our enemies in, and they all look pretty stunning. The combat animations also look stellar, but that is to be expected from a Dynasty Warriors title. Some people won't like the open-world setting, others maybe will, but this is probably a breath of fresh air that the franchise needed, especially considering how old it is.

You can't have a series of games like this and always keep everything the same, sometimes you have to experiment a bit. Let's be real here, you will be able to climb buildings,  mountains, and other terrains, and we will be able to use grappling hooks to cross walls. In Dynasty Warriors 9, you're a martial artist that is able to obliterate lots of foes and also use a grappling hook, what more do you need?
