We are used to seeing Funcom involved in different types of games but when the Norwegian video game developer announced Dune: Spice Wars it was pretty clear that the outcome would please many fans of the 4X genre. Of course, the game was revealed following the success of the latest Dune film but as soon as the fans got their eyes on the first gameplay footage the game looked good enough to deserve a chance. The release of the game in early access months later would confirm that Dune: Spice Wars offers a solid turn-based experience set in Arrakis that revolves around the fight for controlling the production and trade of its most valuable resource: the Spice.
