Dragon's Dogma 2 has sold 2.5 million copies in just over a week

According to the announcement, Dragon's Dogma 2 reached the 2.5 million mark just 11 days after its release. This is a significant achievement for Capcom, compared to the original Dragon's Dogma, which took a month to reach 1.05 million copies sold.

Capcom's marketing efforts for the game seem to have paid off, from allowing players to freely create their characters ahead of the game's release to collaborating with famous Hollywood actors to promote the game. With this success, the Dragon's Dogma series has now sold over ten million copies, with the original game totaling 7.9 million copies sold.

"Capcom carried out various global-facing promotional activities with the aim of attracting not only long-time fans of the series but newcomers as well, including the launch of a free application that let users create their player avatars prior to the game’s release, as well as in-game pawns made in collaboration with celebrities in various countries and Japanese national athletes." Capcom said in their Press release.

Despite the rough start with review bombing on PC platforms, this did not deter Dragon's Dogma 2. Capcom is actively working to address these issues through its recent update and soliciting feedback from players on future DLC for Dragon's Dogma 2.
