Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 gets a new behind-the-scenes video
Sandfall Interactive has released a new promotional video for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, sharing fresh footage and interviews with the talented English voice cast of the highly anticipated turn-based RPG. The game, developed by the French indie studio Sandfall Interactive and published by Kepler Interactive, will launch on April 24 for consoles and PC via Steam. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 draws heavy inspiration from games like Persona 5 and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. It features a top-tier voice cast to bring its story and characters to life.
In this new behind-the-scenes video, fans can learn more about the recording process directly from some of the English-speaking actors involved in the game, including Jennifer English (Baldur’s Gate III), Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI), Kirsty Rider (The Sandman series), Shala Nyx (The Old Guard film), Rich Keeble (Good Omens), and Maxence Cazorla (short Ineffable). Not shown in the video but present in the game are also actors Charlie Cox (Daredevil: Born Again), Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings franchise), Devora Wilde (Baldur’s Gate III), Tracy Wiles (Baldur’s Gate III), and a full French voice-over that will be available when the game launches later this month.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – Behind The Voices Video
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 stands out for its immersive reactive turn-based battles, mature and touching narrative, and evocative and striking art style inspired by French and Parisian architecture and art. The RPG promises players a beautiful, story-driven experience filled with emotional characters that will stick with them long after the credits roll. In the game, once a year, the Paintress awakens to paint a cursed number on her monolith, and every one of that age turns instantly to smoke and vanishes. Year after year, the number gets smaller. Tomorrow, she will awaken and paint 33. Join Gustave and his fellow Expeditioners on a desperate journey to break the Paintress’s cycle of death once and for all.
Developed with Unreal Engine 5, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a groundbreaking reactive turn-based RPG featuring immersive real-time offensive and defensive inputs to enhance combat, making battles more engaging than ever. Players will master their offensive and magical skills, dodge, guard, and counter enemy attacks in real-time, and strike enemy weak points using a free-aim system to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is now available for pre-order and will be released on April 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
