BioWare focuses on the new Dragon Age to forget about Anthem
BioWare has changed a lot since they launched the original Baldur's Gate, one of the most important role-playing games of all time. Its launch paved the way for plenty of memorable games in the story of the company, including Baldur's Gate 2, Mass Effect series, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and the Dragon Age series. Their experience developing outstanding role-playing games is shown in all those games, but it seems that when they have tried something different, the results have not been so great for them. This is the case of Anthem, which promised to be a reference in the genre of the action RPGs but that resulted in a product that has failed to satisfy the players. It's not that the game itself is bad or anything, but it has been criticized for being somewhat repetitive, eventually leading to a shortage of players that made things very difficult for the game.
In an attempt to continue moving forward, BioWare has teased the fourth installment in the Dragon Age series.
Today marks 10 years of Dragon Age! This year we’re excited to join the community’s party on December 4th and celebrate a decade together in the world we all love. See you on 12/4 for Dragon 4ge Day!

Dragon Age series started with Dragon Age: Origins, one of the most praised role-playing games. With a great story, awesome visuals, great combat, and well-designed RPG mechanics, Dragon Age: Origins did set the foundations for the development of two sequels, Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age Inquisition, that also were quite successful. Their different gameplay mechanics were not of the taste of all the followers of the series but the games are still fantastic pieces that every fan of the genre should have in their libraries.
Nothing has been revealed about Dragon Age 4 yet. Still, the 10th anniversary of the franchise seems to be more than enough reason for BioWare to put a lot of effort into delivering a masterpiece whenever the game launches, especially after what has happened with Anthem. We will have to wait until next December to see what they have in store for us.
