Back 4 Blood won't get any more content

Despite the tremendous success of Back 4 Blood, the cooperative zombie shooter from Turtle Rock Studios will stop receiving attention from the developer. Back 4 Blood has become quite a popular game in its own right. Delivering exciting gameplay and a lot of action, the shooter became a favorite of the fans as soon as it was released. The developer has expanded the game with three different expansions addeding even more Cleaners for you to choose from, deadlier Ridden threats, and new features. But it seems that it's time to move on for the studio.

Farewell, Fort Hope

With a new project in the scope, Turtle Rock Studios has announced that it won't release any additional content for Back 4 Blood. The reason is very simple to understand. It's a small studio, and they lack the people to continue supporting Back 4 Blood with quality content and focus on the new project at the same time. The announcement was made via a statement on the official website:

"What an amazing year 2022 was for us. First off, we wanted to thank all of you for making Back 4 Blood what it is today. With three expansions – Tunnels of Terror, Children of the Worm, and River of Blood – we’ve traveled on a fantastic adventure together beyond the walls of Fort Hope. This phase of our war against the Ridden now comes to a close."

"Turtle Rock Studios is actually pretty small for a studio making AAA games. We don’t have quite enough folks to continue working on Back 4 Blood content while we spin up another game – yes, another game! Given this, it’s time for us to put our heads down, get back in the lab, and get to work on the next big thing."

This news does not mean you won't be able to continue playing Back 4 Blood or anything. But if you were expecting some novelties, you may be disappointed.
