Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land demo launches on March 16

KOEI TECMO America and developer Gust have announced that a demo for Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land will be available starting March 16, 2025. The demo will be available across all platforms but will launch on Steam two hours earlier. In a previous announcement, Koei Tecmo revealed that Atelier Yumia will feature a special collaboration with Tales of Graces f Remastered, a JRPG by Bandai Namco.

A brand-new gameplay video has been unveiled to celebrate the demo's release, highlighting the game's core loops, including field exploration, battles, synthesis, and construction. The most significant difference between Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land and past titles—such as Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key, for example—is that combat is even more real-time and less turn-based. The transition between exploration and battle is entirely seamless, promoting a smoother journey focused on material gathering to reinforce the central alchemy theme.

Players eager to explore the Aladissian Empire alongside the alchemist Yumia Liessfeldt can begin their journey on March 16 with the public demo. The demo spans from the prologue to the beginning of the main quest, Pioneering the Ligneus Region, introducing Yumia, her companions, and the new synthesis and combat systems. Players will also be able to explore the open fields of the Ligneus region, gather ingredients, build their own base, and much more. Progress made in the demo can be transferred to the full game after purchase. According to the trailer, a boss fight will give players a taste of what awaits them in the complete version.

Regarding the collaboration with Tales of Graces f Remastered, Atelier Yumia will receive a special crossover outfit, which will be available as free DLC at a later date. To celebrate the partnership, artist Benitama has created a commemorative illustration featuring Yumia and Asbel, the latter the protagonist of Tales of Graces f Remastered, both wearing Asbel's outfit. It's unclear what costumes will be included, but if the illustration is any indication, Yumia might dress as Asbel while the other characters could take on the looks of other members from Tales of Graces f.

The official launch of Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is set for March 21, 2025, arriving on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Windows PC via Steam, and—for the first time in the franchise—Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
