AMD is set to officially launch the Radeon RX 9000 series tomorrow
Frank Azor from AMD stated on Twitter/X that the company will officially announce the prices for the RX 9070 series GPUs on Friday. “Your questions regarding pricing and performance will soon be addressed,” Azor affirmed.
According to recently leaked slides from AMD, the company is “concentrating on what gamers desire” with RDNA 4 and intends to make their GPUs “more affordable.” In the same document, AMD revealed that 85% of gamers bought GPUs priced under $700. Consequently, the RX 9070 XT is anticipated to be priced below $700.
At CES 2025, AMD showcased its RDNA 4 graphics architecture, promising enhancements in all areas of GPU performance. For starters, AMD has assured “Supercharged AI compute” owing to its new second-generation AI accelerators. Additionally, there are advancements in “improved ray tracing compute per CU” with its third-generation RT accelerators. Furthermore, “optimized compute units” are expected to provide a boost in raw computational power.
I appreciate seeing all the passion and excitement from the community for the upcoming @amdradeon RDNA4 announcement on Friday. All your pricing and performance questions will soon be answered. Thank you for your patience and support especially to our fans and customers, we ❤️ U https://t.co/1iRiZrX5Zg

We anticipate receiving abundant details regarding the two main card chipsets, including their specifications and pricing data. We're also looking forward to AMD demonstrating how their new lineup compares to the RTX 50 series cards that have already (or will soon) be released this year – which includes the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070, and RTX 5070 Ti models.
On February 28th, we will finally discover the capabilities of AMD’s RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT graphics cards. We should also learn about the pricing for these new Radeon GPUs. The event will be broadcast live on YouTube at 8 AM EST/ 1 PM GMT on AMD’s Gaming channel.
