Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is having a rocky launch
A month ago Wolcen Studio announced that the launch of their upcoming isometric action-RPG was to be delayed to give the game a final polish and deliver a high-quality experience at launch. Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is a beautiful game inspired by the Diablo series. It features a detailed progression system that allows you to customize your character by combining different skills to modify its capabilities. There are a lot of weapons and armors available to you and the combat is fast-paced. Fighting in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem also has its share of strategy since the enemies make use of deadly skills that will require you to be ready to avoid them at all costs so it's not all mowing down hordes of enemies.
Storywise, Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is an epic adventure where you will play as one of the only three survivors of a massacre. After being rescued by Grand Inquisitor Heimlock, you are enlisted in the army of the Republic and train to become one of its most deadly warriors. When the soldiers of the Brotherhood of Dawn assault a fortress in the northern frontier of the Republic, you are deployed as part of an army in charge of destroying one of their camps, and that's the beginning of your story in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem.
Everything seemed to be ready for a successful launch after a long time in Early Access and the initial postponement, but Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem has been the victim of its own success and the game servers are having some issues. Players are getting some connectivity problems and there is a bug that resets progression. That didn´t stop the game from surpassing a peak of 60,000 users yesterday when it was released. The developers are already working on a hotfix and server stability.
Status update: servers and server capacities are currently being deployed and will be fully functionnal in a few hours. We're also preparing a hotfix for progression reset issues. We will push that hotfix in a few hours as well.
