Bleeding Edge won't have micro-transactions and a closed beta is coming
Announced at E3 2019, Bleeding Edge will be out in just over a month. It's a colorful game developed by Ninja Theory, the studio that created great titles like DmC: Devil May Cry, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and that is also developing Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, which will be also released this year.
The game is an interesting combination of genres that offers team fights for up to 4 players with a third-person view and borrows gameplay mechanics that are typical from MOBA and Beat 'em all.
We already know a bit of information about the game, including its characters, unique in their genre but that also have created some issues for the studio. Ninja Theory has talked about them recently, revealing that Bleeding Edge features a roster of twelve fighters. Eleven of them have been also been presented and, and we also know that we can improve our favorites through a system of mods, in addition to customizing their looks with cosmetic objects.
So we naturally come to the question of micro-transactions. Well, Ninja Theory recently released a short video in the form of a development notebook in which the answer is unequivocal: Bleeding Edge won't feature microtransactions. At least, Rahni Tucker, Creative Director of the game, assures us that this is not the case at the moment, and that everything that has an impact on the gameplay will have to be acquired while playing. Since Bleeding Edge is a competitive game, it is indeed a choice that imposes itself.
In parallel, the closed beta of Bleeding Edge will take place very soon. From February 14 to 17 anyone who pre-ordered the game on PC or Xbox One will be able to participate, as well as Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Another beta phase should take place starting on March 13, but Ninja Theory has not provided any more details about it yet.
Bleeding Edge will be available for all players on PC and Xbox One on March 24. Do not hesitate to visit our comparator to get it at the best price.
