In Ascend to ZERO, a character battles enemies in a neon-lit warehouse, indicated by bright pink energy fields and combat text.

Ascend to ZERO: Tech Chip Selection screen shows three chips: Near-sighted, Energy Drink, and Hunting Mastery.

Time is your sharpest weapon in Ascend to ZERO. This stylish action roguelike is set in a world teetering on the edge of oblivion, where survival depends on your ability to stop the clock, think several moves ahead, and turn impossible situations into spectacular victories. Every run is a frantic sprint toward the unknown, with danger lurking around every corner and only your mastery of time standing between you and total annihilation.

Combat is a thrilling blend of hack-and-slash action and bullet-hell chaos. Swarms of enemies flood the screen, projectiles fly from every direction, and bosses waste no time testing your reflexes. Fortunately, you can freeze time whenever the pressure becomes too much. Every pause creates a new opportunity to rewrite your fate.

Each run lets you experiment with different heroes, each bringing their own abilities, upgrade paths, and combat specialties to the battlefield. Along the way you'll collect powerful enhancements, unlock skills, and piece together different builds that can transform a struggling survivor into an unstoppable force. Success comes from adapting on the fly and discovering combinations that suit your playstyle.

Behind its vibrant pixel-art aesthetic lies a surprisingly tactical experience. Ascend to ZERO rewards players who can read the battlefield, manage their resources, and know exactly when to bend time to their advantage. It's a roguelike that constantly challenges you to think differently, encouraging experimentation instead of punishing failure.
