It adds a new scenario to the game where you find yourself trapped in a derelict spaceship whose crew has disappeared. Your mission will be to investigate what has happened and to uncover the secrets of the Dark Faction to ultimately stop it from spreading across the galaxy.

Empyrion - Galactic Survival: Dark Faction features plenty of novelties, including new types of planets to explore, additional building blocks, and new equipment to fight against the new threat. The expansion also improves the combat system, especially at close quarters, and gives you access to a variety of new weapons.
