• The Maru — Given their ability to read the weather, exceptional sailors and traders who are supportive and helpful. An altruistic and peace-loving culture, they prefer to avoid conflict whenever possible. The benefits include less expensive harbors, gold mines, and mints, quicker towers and bastions, and superior Guardians for their military.
• The Jorn — hailing from the Veiled Islands in the north, the Jorn are as harsh and strong as the land that bred them. They value hard work and overcoming any challenge. They are experts at maintaining farms and forges alike. Their benefits include cheaper ranches, training grounds, furnaces, and weaponsmiths, and their warriors wield two axes and attack faster.

You start off with a small group of settlers. You build your village, collect resources, and advance through research and trade. Recruit experts such as an engineer to find coal and iron deposits. Gather an army to defend against intruders. Explore the map and gain control of landmarks to give your people an early advantage. Whatever you choose, your people will follow as you command.
