    Welcome to ICARUS, a co-op PvE survival game where you must contend with a hostile alien world. Hunt, dig, craft, and explore in time-based sessions in order to seek your fortune in this forbidding place.  

    Icarus is a planet that had been marked for human colonization. Due to a sudden shift in the planet’s environment, it became unsuitable for habitation and was abandoned. However, it was later discovered that this shift was caused by “exotic matter”, a highly valuable substance that has triggered a new Gold Rush. As a prospector, you and your team must descend from an orbiting satellite to the planet’s surface, survive long enough to gather resources, and then return to your base within the allotted time. Failure, of course, means death.

    Fight the planet. Icarus is a hostile world filled with toxic air, harsh weather, and dangerous life forms. The planet wants to kill you, and if you want to live, you need to plan and prepare for each mission. 

    Grab it and run. You are allotted 64 square km of inhospitable alien land to explore. Look for resources that you can mine and exploit. Every tree can be harvested and every rock might hold a valuable exotic mineral. 

    Crafting is key. Use what resources you can find to craft tools, buildings, and machines to help you every session. Train your skills to increase your survivability. Bring back exotic materials to use for advanced tech. Then go back planetside and do it over again.

    Mind the time. Every excursion in ICARUS has a time limit. Your ship will leave precisely on schedule, with or without you. Every second counts each run. That’s what it means to survive in an alien world.
