Try out your scavenging and bargaining skills in Barn Finders, a game where you search barns and other containment units for valuable junk. In this point-and-click simulator, you work for your Uncle Billy searching abandoned barns for items that you can loot and sell in your pawnshop. Anything from decorations to old vehicles, clocks, antiques, jewelry, and even old weapons has worth to someone somewhere.

If you find something good, you can bring it back to your pawnshop and perhaps clean or repair it to raise its value. Some parts can be used to repair larger items like cars and motorcycles. The more items you sell, the more your customers will come back.

Your family business will keep you busy as you visit 12 different locations, not just in barns but also far-out places like a military base or even the moon. You may have to fight in a bidding war against other pros for the right to search a closed-off property. Get there ahead of the competition and you will be in for a good payout later on.

Barn Finders is a chill game about finding treasure in the oddest places. You just need good eye and appraisal skills to win.

    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the same vehicle to haul items between locations, even if it is full?
No, you must have enough space in your vehicle to transport items. You might need to make multiple trips or upgrade your vehicle to carry more.
How does the 'smell' mechanic work, and what impact does it have on finding hidden items?
The smell mechanic indicates the presence of valuable items. A stronger smell suggests the item is more valuable. Use your special 'smell vision' to locate the source of the scent.
Is there a limit to the number of locations I can visit, and do they regenerate with new items?
There is a selection of locations to visit, each with its own set of items. Once you've cleaned out a location, it doesn't regenerate, so you must move on to new areas.
How does the auction system work, and what factors influence the prices of my items?
You sell your found items at the auction house. Bidding is competitive, and the value is determined by the item's condition, rarity, and current market demand.
Besides buying and selling, what other gameplay aspects are there?
You can clean and restore your found items, using tools to remove rust, repair damage, and reveal their true value. Also, you can search for special, unique items.
Does the game offer any way to identify the value of an item before bidding in the auction?
Yes, you can use your appraisal skill to roughly estimate an item's value before putting it up for auction, allowing you to set a reserve price.
Can I influence the outcome of the auction beyond setting the reserve price?
You can try to influence the auction with your behavior. You can try to drive up the price by raising your bid, but risk losing the item.
How important is managing my budget, and what expenses do I need to account for?
Budget management is crucial. You'll need to pay for transportation, tools, location entry fees, and even storage space for your items.
Are there any time constraints within the game, such as deadlines for auctions or closing times for locations?
There are no hard time limits in the game. You can explore at your own pace. The auction has a timer, but you can always return to auction another day.
What happens if I find an item I can't identify or determine the value of?
You can seek expert opinions or research items at a shop, at a cost. This will help to identify the item's value before putting it up for sale.
