    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How does the placement of 'Mountain' and 'Valley' tiles affect the spawn rate and strength of enemy encounters?
Placing 'Mountain' and 'Valley' tiles adjacently creates a 'Lich's Palace' tile. The Lich's Palace significantly increases the overall difficulty, making enemies stronger and altering their behaviors.
If I place a 'Battlefield' tile adjacent to a 'Forest' tile, what specific in-game effects are triggered, and how do they change over time?
Adjacent 'Battlefield' and 'Forest' tiles create a 'Burning Forest' tile. Over time, this tile will transform into a 'Blazing Forest', increasing the damage dealt to the hero each time he steps on it.
Can the 'River' tile be combined with other specific tiles to produce unique outcomes, and if so, which combinations are most beneficial for resource gathering?
Placing 'River' tiles next to other tiles has no immediate effects. However, crossing the river provides bonus to the attack speed of the hero. This bonus gets progressively better with the further developed river (i.e. number of adjacent tiles).
How does the 'Roadside Lantern' tile interact with enemy spawn patterns and how is it most effectively utilized to control the flow of enemies?
The 'Roadside Lantern' tile creates a safe zone around itself, preventing enemy spawns within its radius. Effective placement can control where battles occur, allowing the player to manipulate enemy encounters and position.
What are the specific benefits of building the 'Treasury' building, and how does the resource payout change relative to loop number?
The 'Treasury' generates a random assortment of resources at the end of each loop. The amount and quality of the resources increase with each completed loop, incentivizing long runs.
How does the 'Supply Depot' building and 'Arsenal' building affect the item drop rate and quality from defeated enemies, and are there diminishing returns?
The 'Supply Depot' increases the chances of better items. The 'Arsenal' improves the quality of items acquired. These effects don't diminish over time and complement each other for building efficiency.
What is the consequence of placing too many 'Suburbs' tiles, and how does this affect the player's ability to complete a loop?
Placing too many 'Suburb' tiles increases the spawn rate of the 'Goblin Camp' tile, leading to an increasing number of goblin encounters.
How does the 'Spider Cocoon' tile influence the types of enemies encountered, and how does the hero's equipment affect its impact?
The 'Spider Cocoon' spawns spiders, and the type of spiders depends on the loop level. High-level equipment will affect the survivability of the hero during this encounters.
What is the optimal strategy for placing 'Vampire Mansion' tiles to both maximize resource gain and minimize risk?
Placing 'Vampire Mansion' tiles strategically allows to control the spawn of vampires. The optimal strategy depends on the heroes' build and preferred playstyle.
