The place is overrun by demons and Sakuna, along with her guardian Tama, will have to protect humans, banish demons, demonstrating that she is the true heir of Lady Toyohana the harvest goddess and Lord Takeribi the warrior god.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a side-scroller action platformer in which you will fight against evil demons as you explore the beautiful lands of Hinoe Island. You will also have to help the people of the village in the mountains where you have found refuge and learn to honor your heritage by fulfilling your duties. Learning the secrets of agriculture and growing the perfect crop will have an impact on your combat abilities as the goddess of the harvest. With the help of the inhabitants of the village, Sakuna will try to reclaim her birthright in this fresh take on Japanese Mythology with beautifully designed graphics and lots of action.
