Scarlet Nexus is a thrilling adventure that takes place in the far future. The discovery of a psionic hormone in the human brain has taken our civilization to a new level. Thanks to it some humans have gained extraordinary powers but the joy for the discovery doesn't last too long. A strange race of creatures known as Others starts falling from the sky soon after that. They are resistant to conventional weapons and start preying on humans to devour their brains. The only way of fighting them is by using the recently discovered psionic powers and those in charge of doing it are the members of the Other Suppression Force (OSF), an organization that has recruited the most talented psionic users from all over the planet.
In Scarlet Nexus you will play as Yuito Sumeragi, a new recruit to the OSF that wants to become an elite fighter and help to destroy the Others. With his powerful psycho-kinetic powers as a weapon, he will explore the dangerous streets of New Himuka fighting enemies and discovering the secrets of the world of Scarlet Nexus.
The game features a hack and slash combat system in which you will fight against deadly enemies in open scenarios. It's possible to use the elements in the scenario in combat and you will be able, for example, to throw objects at your enemies by using your psionic powers. As you progress through the game, you will gain experience that you can use to enhance and modify your powers, opening a new world of possibilities in combat.
