Due to charges of corruption and the government’s inability to end a long famine, the people have lost faith in Emperor Ling. Various factions are moving to take over his position. In particular, three Taoist brothers don yellow turbans and pick up their weapons. Warlords loyal to the Dynasty gather to protect their Emperor. The time for war is at hand; the Yellow Turban Uprising has begun.

Loyalist or Rebel? Choose from one of many factions vying for power. On the Imperial side, there are Emperor Ling, his kin Liu Chong, and eminent scholar and warrior Lu Zhi. On the Rebellion, choose between warlords Zhang Jue, Zhang Liang, and Zhang Bao of the Yellow Turbans. Finally, you can also choose among the characters from the original game.

New Units. Bring your power to bear on the battlefield with these new units. On the Imperial side, employ Imperial Conscripts, Chen Peacekeepers, Chen Royal Guard, and their shock cavalry, Destroyer of Traitors.

Among the rebels, deploy the Messengers of Heaven, Zealots of the Way, Yaoguai Hunters, and the hard-hitting horsemen of the Tyrant Slayers.
