Total War Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Big Announcement

Creative Assembly is preparing to mark a major milestone as the Total War franchise turns 25 this year. In a long celebration honoring the legacy of one of strategy gaming's most enduring series, the developer has announced a lineup of special events, community features, and what it's calling "the next era of Total War."

Starting this August, the anniversary celebration will launch with a series of retrospectives and community-driven content. Longtime fans can expect developer livestreams, behind-the-scenes stories, competitive multiplayer tournaments in both fantasy and historical settings, and deep discounts across the Total War catalogue.

The celebration will culminate in December with a first-of-its-kind video presentation: the Total War: 25th Anniversary Showcase.
