With its sandbox-style gameplay, players are free to create and shape their own world in Staxel.

At the beginning of the game, players are given their own plots of land to cultivate and grow their farms. They start with a small set of tools and a handful of seeds, and as they progress through the game, they will unlock new tools, crops, and livestock. Farming is a critical aspect of Staxel, and players must carefully manage their resources to ensure that their farm thrives. Players can grow a variety of crops, such as wheat, potatoes, and carrots, and raise animals such as cows, chickens, and pigs. They must also manage their farm's resources, such as water, fertilizer, and power. Aside from farming, players can also explore the vibrant world of Staxel. The game is filled with hidden secrets, quest lines, and dungeons to explore. Players can also meet the friendly villagers who inhabit the world of Staxel. They can trade goods with them, receive quests, and even embark on romance options with them. The villagers are a vital aspect of the game, and players must keep them happy to unlock new content and features. Finally, Staxel allows players to join friends online in building their world. Multiplayer gameplay adds a new dimension to the game, allowing players to work together to create incredible structures and share resources. Players can collaborate with friends to build a shared farm or create their own unique worlds separately.
