The LGA-1700 socket is the previous socket, now replaced by the LGA-1851. Compatible with Intel 12th and 13th generation processors, codenamed Alder Lake and Raptor Lake, it delivers a noticeable performance boost compared to its predecessors.

The LGA 1700 was designed to replace the LGA 1200 and features 1700 pins in contact with the processor pads—500 more pins than its predecessor.

The LGA 1700 socket supports Intel 12th generation (Alder Lake) and 13th generation (Raptor Lake) Core processors. It can handle a maximum of up to 24 cores and supports DDR5 RAM (up to 5600 MHz) as well as DDR4 RAM (up to 3200 MHz).
