We will see more Final Fantasy remasters

Square Enix has found a gold mine in the Final Fantasy series. The huge success of each of its releases is enough to grant a long life to the series, whose latest main installment was released last month. Those events have led to the official confirmation of something that many players were expecting: Square Enix is considering remastering other Final Fantasy games. During the company’s 43rd Annual Shareholders’ Meeting the Board was asked about this matter and the answer was quite direct:

“We will refrain from sharing information about new titles, but we are considering various ideas within the company and hope that you will look forward to forthcoming announcements.”

Rumor has it that the upcoming Final Fantasy games to be remastered could be Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy IX but we will have to wait for an official confirmation to be completely sure about that.
