Total War: Warhammer III has been announced
After launching A Total War Saga: Troy last year, Creative Assembly has been working on a new project, and it seems that they are now focusing on the universe of Game Workshop's tabletop miniature game once again. Warhammer Fantasy Battles is a strategy game with lots of warring factions and deep lore in which the main component comes in the form of massive battles with hundreds of troops. Creative Assembly has made a very good job adapting some of the gameplay mechanics seen in other games of the Total War series to the Warhammer universe in the two games that the series includes already, Total War: Warhammer and Total War Warhammer II, and the announcement of a third installment confirms that the games have become a hit among the fans of the tabletop game.
Total War: Warhammer III will focus once more on the conflict between the forces of order and the demonic forces under the command of the Chaos Gods. The game will focus on the eastern territories of the Old World, offering players the possibility of commanding armies from Kislev and Cathay, as well as demons that serve the four Chaos Gods: Slaanesh, Nurgle, Khorne, and Tzeentch. You can see some of them in the Total War: Warhammer III announcement video.
If you have played the previous Total War: Warhammer games, you already know that they offer two different campaigns. The one in Total War: Warhammer focuses on conquering part of the old world and survive the relentless attack of the forces of Chaos, and the campaign in Total War: Warhammer II puts an emphasis on gaining control of a terrible vortex that could destroy the world. Total War: Warhammer III will offer a new storyline in which you will try to take advantage of the power of a dying god.
As it happened with previous installments in the Total War: Warhammer series, it's quite likely that the factions and the troops from the new game will become available in a separated gameplay mode where you will compete against the others for the control of the world in a massive map. We will have to wait a bit longer to know more about Total War: Warhammer III but the game will definitely be a good addition to the series and the fans of Warhammer will love it.
