Save up to 95% on titles as Steam Deckbuilders Fest 2026 begins today
Valve has been ramping up the number of sales it runs throughout the year, and thanks to its early roadmap reveal for 2026, we already had a clear idea of what events were coming. Now, one of those themed sales has officially arrived.
If you’re a fan of deckbuilding games, this one is right up your alley. The Steam Deckbuilder Fest kicked off on May 4, bringing discounts across a wide range of titles centered around card mechanics and strategy. From pure deckbuilders to games heavily inspired by Slay the Spire, there’s a massive selection on offer, with more than 2,800 titles seeing price cuts across various genres.
As with most Steam events, this sale isn’t just about discounts. There are also demos available for upcoming releases, giving players the chance to try out new experiences before committing. It’s a great opportunity to explore different takes on the genre and discover something new.
Valve has also released a trailer showcasing some of the featured games, which can be a useful starting point if you’re unsure where to begin. The titles highlighted in the video are linked directly in its description, making it easy to jump straight into anything that catches your eye.
Among the standout deals, Inscryption is available with a hefty 60% discount, offering its unique blend of psychological horror and deckbuilding mechanics. Gambonanza, a newer release that mixes roguelike elements with chess-inspired gameplay, is currently 35% off. And of course, Balatro remains a must-play, continuing to draw attention as one of the most successful indie deckbuilders in recent years.
Interestingly, while the original Slay the Spire appears in the sale, its sequel is absent - likely due to its current “Mostly Negative” review status.
The Steam Deckbuilder Fest runs until May 11, 2026, so there’s still time to browse through the deals and pick up a few titles. As always, be sure to check out our free games page as well, and keep an eye out for upcoming releases and exclusive offers.
