Steam Cooking Fest 2024 is now live
From now until November 18, Steam is hosting a Cooking Fest to showcase some of the finest cooking games. Whether you're frying pancakes or concocting magical brews, the Steam Cooking Fest is dedicated to celebrating the culinary aspect of games, and these five carefully chosen titles offer something to satisfy every gamer's cravings.
If you want to drag your friends into the fest as well, potentially creating a scenario reminiscent of the stress seen in The Bear, both Plate Up! and Overcooked 2 are being offered at a discount. Plate Up! boasts an impressive 66% off (£5.69 /$6.79 /6,63€), while Overcooked 2 outshines that with a staggering 75% discount (£4.99 /$6.24 /5,74€), allowing you to experience sheer stress and chaos for a low price. I suppose this discount is a fair trade-off for the friendships you might jeopardize along the way, but oh well, it’s worth it.
For a more relaxed local co-op experience, I would also highly recommend Pizza Possum, which moves away from the traditional kitchen simulator to present a game that is equally cute and chaotic, where your goal is to swipe snacks while avoiding vigilant dogs. I absolutely love this game, mainly because its adorable possum and raccoon characters are simply delightful, so for £3.47/$4.19/4,19€, it’s hard not to endorse it.
Discounts aren't the only focus either. The Free Demos and Upcoming tabs provide an opportunity to expand your wishlist with eagerly anticipated cooking and food-related games on the horizon. I would suggest keeping an eye on Call of Boba. It appears to be much more soothing than enduring the turmoil of another Overcooked session, which is likely a lot more appealing.
In addition to the plethora of discounted games and demos, the Cooking Fest is also giving away a few free items in the point shop. You'll have the chance to claim an animated avatar, an avatar frame, and an animated sticker as part of the festival without needing to spend points or own any games, making it worthwhile to redeem them promptly.
And as always, remember to use our comparison tool to find the best deal for your next favorite game.
