Star Wars: Galactic Racer is coming this fall

Lucasfilm Games and developer Fuse Games have officially announced that Star Wars: Galactic Racer will launch on October 6, 2026. The arcade racing title is scheduled to arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with pre-orders now available worldwide following the release of a new cinematic gameplay trailer.

A new way to race in the Star Wars universe

The upcoming racer takes players beyond traditional battlefields and into a galaxy-wide underground racing circuit set during the New Republic era. Instead of focusing on lightsaber combat or large-scale warfare, the game centers on fast-paced competitive racing across dangerous tracks inspired by iconic Star Wars planets.

According to the newly released details, players will be able to pilot several types of high-speed vehicles, including podracers, landspeeders, speeder bikes, and newly designed hovercraft built specifically for the game. Races will take place on locations such as Tatooine, Endor, and Jakku, each featuring environmental hazards, shortcuts, and interactive obstacles designed to create a more chaotic arcade experience.

Fuse Games has also confirmed that Star Wars: Galactic Racer will include both a story-driven single-player mode and online multiplayer races supporting up to 12 competitors. Customization will play a major role, allowing players to personalize vehicles with different paint schemes, upgrades, and cosmetic parts inspired by classic Star Wars designs.

In addition to the standard edition, several premium versions of the game have been revealed. The Deluxe Edition will feature bonus vehicles, exclusive cosmetics, and digital extras, while the Collector’s Edition includes physical items such as a steelbook case, collectible pilot patches, an art book, and a replica model vehicle tied to the game’s storyline.

The official announcement ends weeks of speculation surrounding the project after earlier reports hinted at an October release window.
