RX 9070 XT offers a 23% better performance-to-price ratio compared to the RTX 5070 Ti
During the unveiling of the Radeon RX 9070 series, AMD drew comparisons between their new Radeon RX 9070 XT and Nvidia’s recently launched RTX 5070 Ti. In this analysis, AMD emphasized the value aspect of their Radeon RX 9070 XT, which has a suggested retail price (MSRP) of $599, making it $150 cheaper than the RTX 5070 Ti from Nvidia.
If AMD can keep GPU prices close to the suggested MSRP, their Radeon RX 9070 XT is set to become the leading option for price-to-performance in the GPU market. According to AMD, across over 30 tested titles, the standard RX 9070 XT lags only 2% behind the Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti in performance. This difference is minimal, particularly when taking into account the significantly lower cost.
In general, AMD asserts that their Radeon RX 9070 XT provides 23% greater performance for each dollar spent as compared to Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Ti, based on MSRP to MSRP. Given that actual MSRP Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti GPUs are nearly nonexistent, the overall value offer from AMD could be considerably more appealing.

The value proposition of AMD's RX 9070 series is contingent on the company’s ability to produce graphics cards that are close to its MSRP. If AMD releases the RX 9070 XT in adequate quantities, and MSRP GPUs aren't rare, the RX 9070 XT could become the price-performance champion of this GPU generation.
AMD has also indicated that they are developing overclocked versions of the RX 9070 XT that can outperform the Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti. These graphics cards will have a total design power (TDP) of 340W, which exceeds the standard TDP of 304W for the RX 9070 XT.
Should AMD launch with a robust supply of MSRP RX 9000 series models, they could capture a notable share of the market. This is particularly viable if AMD can take advantage of the limited retail availability of RTX 50 series graphics cards.
