Respawn will announce a free Battle Royale today, Apex Legends
It seems that Battle Royale is the way to go for shooters nowadays. Whether it's played on third-person view or first-person view, every title belonging to the shooting genre seems to be focusing on this type of multiplayer battle exclusively or adding it as a game mode. Now it's the turn for Respawn Entertainment to jump on the wagon. Vince Zampella, the director of the studio that created Titanfall, has announced on Twitter that they will launch a new free-to-play Battle Royale game with the name of Apex Legends.
Looks like everything is unlocked now? Fun.

So, if you like Respawn, our games or even me, you should tune in tomorrow. Our stream starts at 8am pt and we’ll tell you everything about Apex Legends. Everything. https://t.co/P0Svi1h5VS
The game will be revealed today during a livestream event that you can follow on the official Twitch channel at 8 am PT, 11 am ET, 4 pm UK. Rumor has it that Apex Legends will be set in the Titanfall universe, that it won't have Titans and that it will feature battles between teams of three players, with a maximum of 60 people per server. Pretty much, their version of Fortnite / PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. It's true that it's probably too late to launch it as a new mode for Titanfall or something, like Battlefield V will be doing soon, but it's yet to be seen if the game is something more than an adaptation of Titanfall or Titanfall 2, just taking out the Titans and adding Battle Royale mechanics.
Does the market have room enough for another Battle Royale to succeed? Time will tell if it's possible or not, but we invite you to watch Apex Legends reveal this evening and decide if it´s worth your time or not.
