Resident Evil 4 Remake surpassed 7 million copies after one year

In the early days of its release, Resident Evil 4 has always been a gem in the hearts of gamers, often hailed as the best Resident Evil game ever made. Resident Evil 4 Remake is a remake of the original 2005 title. This remake was released for PS4, PS5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on March 24, 2023. Resident Evil 4 Remake features an over-the-shoulder third-person shooter gameplay with horror elements, designed to create a tense atmosphere as you venture through the world. The gameplay for the remake is still overall the same as the original; players traverse areas, manage their inventory, fight enemies, and sometimes solve puzzles to progress. However, the combat has been improved; Leon, the main character, can now use multiple weapons and can flexibly evade attacks while firing and reload while on the move. A new parrying mechanic has also been introduced, allowing players to pull off many cool moves.

Besides the main game, there are also two DLCs for the game. The Mercenaries DLC is an old feature introduced in the original game, now brought back for the remake, allowing players to access high-paced combat to earn points through hordes of enemies. Separate Ways, however, is an expanded story, featuring seven action-packed chapters, seven Merchant Side Quests, and various Weapons and Treasures to collect.
