Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin will add new heroes via DLC

Many fans are waiting for the release of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, the new RTS inspired by Games Workshop's Age of Sigmar. Frontier Developments has managed to create an RTS game that captures the essence of the tabletop experience and allows players to immerse in exciting skirmishes in the savage Realm of Ghur. No matter which one of the three factions available at launch you choose, you have at your disposal exciting campaigns and challenging multiplayer battles that will put your tactical awareness.

Expanding the game

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruins rewards quick thinking, fast reactions, and good strategies. All of those will be needed to progress in the campaign and defeat other opponents in multiplayer. Each of the heroes present in the game comes with a set of unique abilities that defines their playstyle and can also impact the performance of the troops under their command.

The game will feature a variety of heroes at launch, but Frontier Developments is adding more via DLC. The first two have been announced already. Yndrasta, The Celestial Spear, and Gobsprakk, The Mouth of Mork, are two flying heroes that can join the ranks of the Stormcast Eternals and the Orruks respectively. While Yndrasta is "a powerful flying hero able jump in and out of the fray quickly", Gobsprakk rides a gigantic vulture and "rallies support to his Orruk cohorts and unleashes destructive power upon his enemies". Any of them can replace your starting hero for new strategic options in Multiplayer and Conquest modes.

The release of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is slated for next Friday on PC.
