And the new Overwatch hero is… a hamster!?

Blizzard has revealed today the latest character to join the roster of heroes in Overwatch and we couldn't be more surprised about it. After a few weeks of speculations about the identity of the new hero, with Blizzard leaking some clues about him, it turned out that Hammond is a hamster. From the video revealed today on the game's Twitter account, he is not exactly the kind of cute little rodent that you could find in a pet shop but more of an impressive destructive force to be feared by his opponents.

To be fair, he is piloting a deadly looking mechanical ball armed to the teeth with a couple of scary miniguns. But even like that, many players have started wondering if it's for real or if Blizzard is trolling all of us, or maybe it could be something like that Jetpack Cat that in the end never became a playable character in Overwatch? Whether some people like it or not, it looks like Hammond will be here to stay.
