Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is officially fixed
Despite the huge popularity of the Microsoft Flight Simulator series and its longevity, developer Asobo Studios didn't manage to achieve an optimal release for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The fans suffered from annoying problems with the servers that prevented them from installing and updating the game on launch day alongside other performance problems and bugs. Of course, the studio apologized and promised to fix all the issues as soon as possible so the players could enjoy a proper simulation experience. But when that usually happens, you are never sure of how long the process will take. Fortunately, it seems that it's been way less than the time needed to fix other games.
Get ready to soar the sky
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 director Jorg Neumann has confirmed in an official statement that the game is officially fixed. Most of the issues that have been bothering players since the game was released have been solved with the latest update, and the game should now offer a proper gameplay experience to all players.
- We have resolved the issues many players were experiencing with server connectivity during the first few days after launch. The MSFS2024 servers and related online services are now performing as expected with greater than 99.999% reliability.
- Non-aircraft add-on products (e.g. airports, scenery, etc.) from the MSFS (2020) Marketplace are being temporarily disabled in MSFS2024 as some of these products were causing long loading times, crashes, and other issues. All purchased Marketplace content will return in the future.
- We are planning to release a patch next week (week of December 2) which will include stability improvements and some other fixes.
- A larger patch is planned for the following week (week of December 9). This patch will include the capability for simmers to enable/disable individual Marketplace products at will as well as a Safe Mode option that disables all third-party content.
Some minor problems will be addressed in the coming weeks with a couple of patches but the overall state of the game and the server-related problems are gone. That alone should make your experience in the game much more enjoyable and you will be able to discover the brand-new activities that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 offers. The latest installment in the popular simulation series provides you with more reasons than ever to sit in the cockpit of your favourite plane and soar the skies allowing you to fly for many specific purposes.
