Updates & Patches

Mafia: The Old Country continues its journey into the origins of organized crime with the newly announced Man of Honor expansion. Set shortly after the events of the base game, the DLC brings players back to early 20th-century Sicily, where loyalty, betrayal, and family honor shape every decision. Players once again step into the shoes of Enzo Favara, whose rise through the criminal underworld is far from complete. The expansion aims to build on the cinematic storytelling that defined the main campaign while introducing fresh conflicts and new opportunities for players to explore the dangerous world of the Torrisi crime family.

A Dangerous Alliance Shapes Sicily's Future

The story centers on Enzo's involvement with Ennio Salieri, a recently freed associate determined to restore his influence and settle unfinished business. This narrative connection may be especially exciting for longtime Mafia fans, as the Salieri name carries significant importance within the franchise's history.

The expansion introduces two additional story chapters that delve deeper into the power struggles of Sicily's criminal organizations. Alongside the narrative content, players can expect expanded Free Ride activities that offer more reasons to revisit the game's detailed environments outside of the main storyline.

More Story, More Sicily, More Reasons to Return

Man of Honor represents another step in developer Hangar 13's effort to enrich the world of Mafia: The Old Country while maintaining the series' focus on character-driven storytelling. Rather than shifting toward a massive open-world structure, the expansion continues the franchise's tradition of delivering a tightly paced crime drama filled with memorable personalities and historical atmosphere.

For fans seeking more of the authentic Sicilian setting, dramatic family conflicts, and cinematic action that defined the base game, Man of Honor looks poised to offer a compelling new chapter in the Mafia saga when it arrives later this year. The return of Don Salieri, I wasn't expecting a DLC release, but I can't wait to see what happens. Maybe a prequel with Salieri, Morello and Don Peppone...

Very happy to see a DLC for Mafia! I had a great time with the base game, thanks to its atmosphere and story. I hope that Man of Honor will offer quality content, with a lifespan of around 5 to 10 hours to really delve into the adventure and the characters.

Man of Honor clearly explores the story of Ennio Salieri long before he became famous in Lost Heaven, which adds an interesting dimension to the Mafia universe, but I'm still curious to see how it fits into the main plot.

Man of Honor seems less interested in adding sheer scale and more focused on expanding the emotional and political conflicts at the heart of Mafia: The Old Country. Returning to Sicily gives the DLC a strong sense of identity, while Enzo’s partnership with Ennio Salieri has the potential to introduce some of the most interesting character dynamics in the game. The addition of new story chapters and extra Free Ride content should give players more reasons to revisit the world without losing the series’ trademark narrative focus. Overall, it looks like a promising expansion that stays true to Mafia’s strengths: atmosphere, storytelling, and organized crime drama.

This expansion looks very promising. I particularly like the return of Ennio Salieri, an emblematic character from the series, which creates an interesting link with the first Mafia. If the writing is up to the standard of the base game, these two new chapters could further enrich the universe and enhance immersion in early 20th-century Sicily.

Bringing back the Salieri name through Ennio Salieri is a fantastic nod to the original Mafia lore. Focusing on Enzo's continued rise in 20th-century Sicily instead of rushing to a different setting gives the narrative some much-needed room to breathe. Expanding the Free Ride mode with more activities is also a welcome addition, as it gives players a solid reason to just cruise around and soak in the authentic Sicilian atmosphere after finishing the new chapters.
