Logitech debuts Pro X2 Rapid with a full suite of pro-grade features

Logitech is expanding its lineup of magnetic gaming keyboards with the Pro X2 Rapid, the successor to the Pro X TKL Rapid that debuted in 2024. The new wired tenkeyless model keeps the same competitive-focused approach but introduces lighter switches, more precise actuation settings, faster input scanning and a built-in OLED display for quicker access to key settings.

Positioned as Logitech's latest flagship pro gaming keyboard, the Pro X2 Rapid uses custom KS-20 POM Hall-effect magnetic switches. These factory-lubricated switches require 30g of force, down from 35g on the previous model, while offering 4mm of total travel. Players can adjust actuation from 0.1mm to 4mm in 0.05mm increments, giving considerably more control over how quickly each key responds.

Rapid Trigger is also included, allowing a key to reset as soon as upward movement is detected rather than waiting for it to return to a fixed reset point. Logitech has increased both key scanning and USB polling to 8,000Hz, helping the keyboard detect and report inputs with lower latency.

The Pro X2 Rapid also introduces an OLED display, allowing players to change Rapid Trigger, actuation points, Key Priority and Lightsync RGB without opening Logitech G Hub. The software remains available for deeper customization, while screw-in stabilizers on the Space, Enter and Shift keys are designed to minimize wobble.

Logitech includes an XL silicone palm rest, replacement keycaps for Esc, Pause/Break, Page Up and Page Down, plus a combined switch and keycap puller. The keyboard measures 363 x 143 x 38mm and connects through a detachable 1.8m USB-A to USB-C cable. It supports Windows 10 or later and macOS 12 or later.

Many of the Pro X TKL Rapid's competitive features return as well, including doubleshot PBT keycaps, an aluminum switch plate, Game Mode, three onboard profiles, per-key Lightsync RGB and Keycontrol for macros and multi-action commands. Key Priority can also determine which conflicting input takes precedence based on the latest key pressed, the key held furthest, or an assigned priority.

Underneath, Logitech uses a six-layer acoustic construction combining PORON, IXPE, polyurethane foam and silicone to reduce echo and unwanted metallic vibrations.

The Pro X2 Rapid is available in Black, White and Magenta through LogitechG.com from September 23 for $229.99 / €229.99 / £209.99, with a two-year limited hardware warranty. That makes it $60 more expensive in the US than the original model at launch.
