Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga releases in April and gets a trailer

Warner Bros. Interactive announced that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, a game that retells the adventures of the science fiction movies in an irreverent way, finally has an official release date briefly after some leaks got the date right. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will release on April 5.

In addition to the new release date, the game has a new trailer revealing new features and gameplay. Skywalker Saga contains all the movies, and players can choose which trilogy to start playing. The trailer also shows new combat techniques and armaments, attack combos, and defense against enemies, including changes in the accuracy of the blasters' aim.

Skywalker Saga promises a significantly higher level of exploration than other games in the LEGO series.

More than 300 playable characters

According to the official announcement, players will travel through space using the galaxy map on their hologram projector and map out their destinations throughout the saga, progressively unlocking planets to explore on the journey. Players can engage in heroic battles against enemy ships during space travel, piloting legendary vehicles like the Millennium Falcon, imperial TIE-fighters, rebel X-wings, and more.

You explore more of the environment and acquire special items to unlock unique abilities for the game's different classes, including Jedi, Hero, Scavenger, Scoundrel, Bounty Hunter, Villain, Dark Side, Astromech Droid, and Protocol Droid.

The game promises over 300 playable characters from the Star Wars Saga: Leia, Yoda, Boba Fett, Darth Maul, and Poe Dameron, among other iconic (and not) figures from the film series. And for fans of old LEGO games, The Skywalker Saga features a so-called "Mumble Mode," which, as the name implies, replaces all voices with mumbles.
