Is Sly Cooper coming back soon?

Since the end of 2021, a rumor has been circulating in the Playstation community: a new episode of Sly Cooper would be in development. It must be said that the fans miss the raccoon, whose last game dates back to 2013 with Sly Cooper: Thieves Through Time on PS3 and Vita. 

The first rumor came from the renewal of the brand. Account NGT later accentuated things by saying that there would be an announcement regarding the license in March, June, or from mid-2022. Since we already left behind the first possible date, we can imagine that the next Sly Cooper will be announced this summer or early autumn during a State of Play or Showcase dedicated to the PS5, if the information remains accurate. But that's not all. The rumors continue appearing. According to insider Nick Baker, co-founder of XboxEra, the game would not be developed by Sucker Punch but by Pixel Opus, another Sony-owned studio currently working on a PS5 exclusive.

Furthermore, the insider confirms the information previously provided by Account NGT, although it schedules the announcement for much later, saying that it would take place in autumn. The studio is also said to be preparing an animated series about Sly Cooper, again in partnership with Sony Animation. It remains to be seen if this information is true or not, but the insider is known to be reliable in the industry and has notably provided information on the Director's Cut of Ghost of Tsushima before. Here, Nick Baker verbally revealed all this during an XboxEra podcast. 

Finally, it should be noted that rumors about a potential return of the InFamous license are also going strong.
